Track meeting at SAC1313

Hey Guys! There will be another meeting on the 25th of march which is this coming tuesday at 2pm. Many important things will be discussed. So all are expected to turn up unless u have a valid reason. If not it is 10 dollars to the club fund as stated in the minutes sent out. We will assemble at the rockclimbing wall near SAC at 130pm. Dun be late! Cya there!

1st Allcomers Update

Well, all 1st Allcomers participants, the competition schedule is already out. Some events have been cancelled. So please make sure that you event is still on and do take note of the time.

Running Leader for I-Run @ Science Park‏

Hi all,
I-Run is a Health Promotion Board Initiative to encourage people to take up running as a form of exercise near their work area. It forms a platform for fitness establishments like Fitness Network to come forward to manage and organize weekly road runs for masses to enjoy a good workout.
The Science park I-Run will be launched on the 14th of March and is scheduled to run for 12 weeks.
The runs are categorized in three levels of distance running.
- 3km Beginners
- 5km Intermediate
- 10km Advanced
Having said that the runners are encouraged to run at their own pace. We are looking for Running leaders to assist the Fitness Trainers in each category to run with the group and assist in some warm-up drills and fitness conditioning drills. Each session will be for 60 mins. We are hoping Students from Singapore Poly can come forward to assist as to motivate the runners and be running leaders for this project. Running leaders will be paid $25 per session. We would need the running leaders to be attached/committed to the assigned group through out the 12 weeks.We would need 15 running leaders for the launch on the 14th March and subsequently need 10 running leaders every Friday for 12 weeks.The running leaders will be briefed on the program and the Trainers in the group will guide them on their task.
Brief Job Description for Running Leaders.
- Able to run the given distance at a average speed.
- Able to assist the trainers in the warm up exercises
- Able to assist the trainers in the conditioning exercises
- Mark attendance
- Record timing the heart rate scores.
Every Friday 6pm to 7pm n i believe u hav to be there ealier to mark attendance etc...

1st Allcomers

This is to all who are participating in the upcoming 1st allcomers. In case you do not know, the date of the competition is 16th of march 2008(sunday). The venue has also been confirmed. The Meet will be held in ITE College East (Simei), 10 Simei Avenue.
