




A. RULES & REGULATIONS
1 RULES OF THE GAME
The Championships shall be held in accordance with the existing rules and regulations of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) and conducted mainly by Singapore Athletic Association (SAA) And IVP Track & Field Championship regulations.
2 ENTRIES
(i) Each institution may register a maximum of 2 competitors and two reserves for each individual events and 1 team for each relay.
(ii) Each competitor is allowed to register for not more than three individual events (including registration as reserves) and any number of relays.
(iii) Members of a relay team shall come from any of the registered competitors only.
(iv) Substitution can be made from registered reserves during the final.
(v) Should there be more than 8 entries for events run in lanes, heats shall be conducted except 400m Hurdles. For events that require 2 heats, the first 2 placing of each heat and the 4 fastest losers shall qualify for the finals. For events that require 3 heats, the first 2 placing of each heat and the fastest 2 losers shall qualify for the finals.

4 SCORING

5 TIES
If 2 or more teams tie on points in the overall score, the Championships shall be awarded to the team which wins more first placings, second placings and so on.
6 DRAW FOR LANES/ORDER OF TRIALS
a) The draw for lanes/order of trials for all events shall be held before the programme is printed.
b) The lanes for finals will be drawn based on timing in the order as follows:
- the best 4 competitors for lanes 4, 5, 3 and 6.
- the slower 4 competitors for lanes 2, 7, 1 and 8.
7 FIELD EVENTS
Competitors shall take their trials in the order indicated in the program unless the Referee decides to alter that order. All competitors shall be given 3 trials and the best 8 competitors another 3 attempts (except High Jump and Pole Vault).
8 EQUIPMENT/SPECIFICATIONS
The heights for Hurdles and the weights of implements for all throwing events shall be those used by Men and Women. Competitors shall not be allowed to use their own implements, except vaulting poles.
9 NUMBER BIBS
Number bibs shall be provided by the Convenor and all athletes should display them prominently on the front and back of their running vests.

§ Overall Challenge Trophy
